A Place for Mom Recognizes National Assisted Living Week
“Family isn’t always blood, it’s the people in your life who want you in theirs: the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.” – Maya Angelou
A Place for Mom is proud to recognize National Assisted Living Week and the wonderful communities that we work with every day. This year’s theme, “Family is Forever,” aims to celebrate the connection that caregivers forge with the residents they serve. Patricia, daughter to a mother who became increasingly isolated in her golden years, marveled at the affect that the community staff had on her mother almost immediately: “It feels so comforting to know my Mom is well cared for and safe every day. The community’s staff and residents are a part of our extended family. I am watching my Mom interact with people again. I love watching my Mom smile, laugh and enjoy every day.”
On behalf of all of us here at A Place for Mom, we would like to thank our Assisted Living partners for uplifting the lives of seniors and their families by providing them with a supportive and caring extended family. The bond that you foster with your residents is truly inspiring!
