A Place for Mom Launches New Mobile App To Improve Move-in Conversion
Over the past few months, A Place for Mom has been testing a new mobile app that helps families better manage their senior living search. The new app, called Senior Living Finder, is offered to families when they are working with an APFM Advisor and are sent senior living partner referrals. The app helps families organize the provided partner profile information as well as contact information for their respective Senior Living Advisor, allowing families to contact their Advisor directly through phone, email or text.
“For many years, A Place for Mom has helped families organize their information through a desktop support tool called “My Search”. We wanted to make this information more accessible to consumers and the mobile app allows for that,” says Tom Drugan, Director of Product Management at APFM. “Like many other industries, our customers are using mobile to help manage their day to day activies. Allowing families to access our their senior living search information through the convenience of mobile experience is important in maintaining the service and support our customers expect.”

The mobile app has recently moved from a regional test to a national roll-out, and on January 8 it was downloaded by the 1,000th user. Consumers are increasingly using mobile throughout the search process and APFM will continue upgrading our web design to meet them there. We expect that by helping families organize key information and more easily communicate with an Advisor, we can positively impact move-in conversion rates with our partners.
